The International Fortepiano Salon ONLINE was created by Yi-heng Yang and Maria Rose during the summer of 2020 during the COVID pandemic, with the sponsorship of the Catskill Mountain Foundation. Initiated as a way of connecting fortepianists and music lovers during a time of social isolation, the Salon fosters interactive discussions, a warm and collegial atmosphere, and curated performances and presentations by many of the leading fortepianists of our time.  Hosts Yi-heng Yang, Maria Rose and Patricia Garcia Gil curate and nurture the ongoing episodes in the spirit of famous musical Salons of the past. Now with 25 episodes and in its fourth season, the Salon enjoys an enthusiastic and growing viewership thanks to the efforts and support of the the Catskill Mountain Foundation. The International Fortepiano Salon continues to feature and promote the best in ongoing research, performance and excellence in the historical keyboard field.
